The City of Mississauga's Public Art Program seeks to commission an artist or artist-led team to create a labyrinth-inspired sculpture with accompanying screen. Located within an urban park system, the artwork will reflect the natural and cultural identity of Cooksville Creek, while fostering a journey-based interactive experience, inspired by labyrinth traditions of reflection, discovery, mystery and excitement.
This is a two-stage artist selection process. Up to three artists will be shortlisted from this call to develop a proposal. The deadline to submit Expressions of Interest for this opportunity is Thursday, November 12, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
The budget for this artwork is $374,000.00 + HST Canadian Dollars. The City aims to install the artwork in 2028.
